The TechAcademy at Innovation Portal is an application-based program that invites underrepresented founders to engage in a technology-focused development program aiming to grow their skill sets and solve challenges facing their venture as they work to scale. 

Given the burgeoning stage of the Mobile entrepreneurship ecosystem and the workforce talent gap that we are presently experiencing in technology sectors (as well as the noted under-representation trends of women and minorities in high-tech incubators and accelerators), we propose a unique solution that provides a dual programming focus for women and minorities. In order to facilitate a shift in the present condition, we will offer entrepreneurs coming from the previously mentioned demographics an opportunity to have a team member participate in a tech boot camp, in conjunction with the entrepreneurship training program that would allow for their team to have the appropriate skill set to execute their business model.

The eight-week cohort program will guide entrepreneurs through a curriculum addressing topics like customer relationship management software (CRMs), cloud computing, digital marketing, as well as other demand-driven topics that will arise based on the needs of the entrepreneurs accepted into each cohort.
