Recognizing the importance of providing early-stage opportunities for all individuals, Innovation Portal has partnered with Builders and Backers, a national entrepreneurship support organization, to run the Idea Accelerator program in the Mobile region. The Idea Accelerator is a 90-day, virtual program assisting individuals with launching their ideas from the sidelines and into action. This program is geared to assist all types of companies, such as hyper-growth tech-enabled startups, main street businesses, and impact ventures. This program helps new builders get started on their entrepreneurial journey in an entirely unique way. Participants learn to build things quickly and inexpensively by leveraging rapid experiments, no-code / low-code tools, and small bits of funding from the Pebble Fund. This program increases the odds of success by pairing rookie entrepreneurs with experienced mentors. Through this program, participants grow their network, capacity and readiness for capital.
